Secondhand Book Sale

We are handling sales of a number of secondhand books in ornithology and natural history. These come from some half a dozen sources (none from my own collection!) and proceeds from the sale will go variously to local societies (Durham Bird Club, Durham Wildlife Trust, RSPB Durham Local Group, depending on the wishes of the former owners) or to the estate of the previous owners.

The stock is quite wide-ranging including field guides for Europe and further afield, species monographs, atlases, etc. It includes some “collectors’ items” such as “New Naturalist” and Poyser titles and some specialist volumes.

Most books are in good to very good condition, as noted in the catalogue. In most cases prices are set around the lower end of the range for each title as on the Abe Books website. Would-be purchasers may offer lower prices, but these will not be considered before 1 September 2025 – if the titles concerned have not been sold at list price in the meantime.

Postage/carriage costs will be additional. Please do not send any payment until the availability of titles has been confirmed and postage costs have been added. In most cases only one copy of each title is available. We do not have facilities to deal with credit or debit card payments.

The catalogue is available by following this link.
